“But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out His special favor on me – and not without results.” – 1 Corinthians 15:10 (NLT)

If we were introducing ourselves and you asked me “Who are you?” and “What do you do?”, my response could be summarized in the short verse above. I’m saved by God’s grace, and my greatest joy is being called a child of the King of all the universe! (To find out how that’s possible for you, look here.)

My most wonderful privilege in this life is being Holly’s husband and a father to my beautiful children, CJ, Micaiah, and Nora Beth. My second greatest privilege is pastoring the wonderful people at Mt Union Alliance Church.  I was raised in Georgia and lived some of my young adult life in North Carolina, shepherding churches there.  I am excited about what God is doing in our church, the Eastern PA Alliance District, and beyond.

My journey with Jesus started in September 1991, and He later called me to ministry in the summer of 1997.  While receiving degrees in biblical studies, theology, and ordination certificates are great achievements in my life, what greatly matters more than those things is helping people know Jesus through preaching sound doctrine and helping believers learn to walk with Him in loving obedience to His commands.

I am so glad that you are considering our church as a place of worship for you and your family.  At Mt Union Alliance Church, we hold several things very high:  the authority of the Bible, the priority of being a family on mission together, and the value of anyone who walks through our church doors.  We desire to be a God-glorifying, biblically faithful, welcoming community of people who love Jesus and others well.  If you have questions, then please do not hesitate to give us a call.
